Why is a running coach helpful?
Having a coach is helpful at all levels. If someone doesn't know much about running, it's crucial to start on the right path to make the process as enjoyable as possible, sustainable, and most importantly safe so injuries don't occur. For the more experienced runners or runners with time goals, we focus on the same foundation as a beginner, but with added fueling strategies, cyclical training blocks, harder track efforts, and race pacing strategies. Above all, everyone can benefit from the accountability that having a 1 on 1 coach brings, as well as having a person that truly believes you can achieve hard and scary goals.
Are free online training plans not good?
You may wonder why you couldn't just use a free online training plan for your desired race and save the coaching fee? The honest answer is you can absolutely use free online training plans. I (Sergio) personally bought a book and took the training plan from it to start my marathon journey. What I have learned over the years though is that those plans are very generic, and may not meet you where you are currently at, let alone teach/guide you in the nuances of a long training block. You may need to be pushed more than what the plan is stating and could be selling yourself short, or you could be pushing too hard and risk injury. That is where I would be able to curate a running plan that is 100% unique to YOU based on your current running experience. Also, as real life happens (vacations, illness, schedule hiccups), I would be able to guide you through those hurdles to ensure we stay on track to your goals.
How much does it cost?
For the first 5 athletes that sign up, you will get a lifetime rate of just $100 per month so long as you keep the coaching program continually. After the first 5 athletes, the fee will be $130 per month. This would be for all levels of athletes since the time, knowledge, and attention you would get would be the same across all running capacities.

Initial consultation to determine your needs/goals, and create a game-plan to move forward.
Customized training plan per your training goals with unlimited changes to the plan in a 1 on 1 setting.
Feedback on EVERY workout and key session from head coach.
Unlimited access to coach via text and scheduled calls as needed.
Training plan delivered via Final Surge directly to your GPS watch.
Fueling and Hydration education along with training and recommendations.
Footwear analysis and running gait review (as needed).
If local to Colorado, group runs led by head coach.
Race preparation and strategy for ALL races, not just goal race.
Depending on availability of head coach's schedule, your race pace, and location of race, head coach plans on attending your race in person to help cheer you on and motivate you.
Post race call/meeting to discuss the good, the bad, and what we can learn to continue to drive results.
